Hi, I’m Richard Hubbard, the creator of You and Me to We and author of You and Me to We: The Marriage Challenge.
I didn’t begin this journey because I had marriage completely figured out. I began it because, through my own marriage, I came to understand just how important intentionality is.
My wife, Sarah, and I have built a life together through the same kinds of seasons many couples experience—raising a family, navigating careers, managing responsibilities, facing challenges and health struggles, growing in our faith, and trying to stay connected through all of it.
Along the way, I began thinking more deeply about how easily two people who genuinely love each other can become consumed by the responsibilities of life and slowly begin operating as individuals instead of as a team.
That realization became the foundation for a simple idea:
What would happen if we became more intentional about moving from “you and me” to “we”?
I brought that question to the Lord, and eventually the idea grew into The Marriage Challenge, a 30-day guided journey designed to help couples slow down, communicate more openly, reconnect, appreciate one another, and think intentionally about the marriage they are building together.
But I don't believe the idea ends with one book.
You and Me to We is becoming a place where I can share practical encouragement, resources, and conversations about marriage, family, communication, faith, and the everyday choices that help two people continue growing together.
My Christian faith is an important part of that journey. I believe marriage is a gift from God and that He calls us to love, serve, encourage, forgive, and grow alongside one another. I also know that none of us do these things perfectly.
Strong marriages aren't built by perfect people. They're built by two imperfect people who continue choosing to invest in each other.
I’m still learning. I’m still growing. And Sarah and I are still writing our own story together.
My hope is simply that something you find here encourages you to be a little more intentional with yours.
Because a stronger marriage doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through the daily choice to move through life as partners—to keep choosing “we.”
